Inmate texting apps are a great method of keeping in touch with a relative or friend who is currently in prison. These apps are designed to be in compliance with prison regulations and allow family members and friends to send messages, pictures videos, eCards, video calls and money to their trust accounts in prison. In addition to these messaging apps, there are a number of federal inmate applications that provide additional services like video visitation and phone calls.
The JPay app, for example allows family and friends to send money into the trust account of an inmate, along with images, emails videos, eCards, and eCards. It also lets them design personalized postcards featuring personal photos. It's a safer, more secure alternative to regular mail.
Another popular inmate text text inmate app is GettingOut It provides "simple and reliable communication" between inmates and their loved ones. The app, which is available in select correctional facilities lets inmates upload photos and send messages to their friends and families via their tablets. Inmates pay $0.25 per message, and their loved ones pay cost of data to access them (but not explicit pictures). The GettingOut app allows users to upload a photo to Facebook or Foursquare or check-in on Foursquare and add a YouTube video.
